For a friend, you would say "Ten una buena noche" (this is in the tú form).

For an adult, you would say "Tenga una buena noche" (this is in the usted form).

Personally, when I am speaking with one of my Spanish teachers and want to make it sound as though I am really good at Spanish, I use the subjunctive form. All of my teachers believe that a person is truly well versed in Spanish if they can freely use this form. Anyway, in this case, I would say "Espero que tenga una buena noche" meaning "I hope that you have a good night". If you wanted to use this form when speaking to a friend, you would say "Espero que tengas una buena noche" (It means the same thing, but is in the tú form as opposed to the usted form).

I hope this helps you. ¡Buenas Suerte! (Good Luck!)

Yes -- use the subjunctive for sure. "Tenga" or Tengas". Good answer. - Daniel, Nov 16, 2009
To make it more casual and still use the subjunctive, you can say "¡Que tengas buena noche!". - Nick-Cortina, Nov 16, 2009
