Traducción de Afro-American cultures

Aqui es la cita:

It is also clear that large elements of the emerging Afro-American cultures were influenced by European beliefs. Variants of European Christianity became the dominant religion among slaves, even if synchronized with large elements of African beliefs and deities….

Aqui trato a traducir:

HI d3, the title needs to have at least one word or one sentence from the text. :) - 00494d19, Nov 16, 2009

The original English text may use "synchronize" to refer to the common practice of replacing local celebrations with Christian ones without changing the dates (the birth of Christ was moved for exactly this reason). The widespread recognition of the winter solstice and vernal equinox made this easy for the big days of Christmas and Easter. It seems that almost every day is some Saint's day, so the rest os just a matter of picking and choosing which ones to emphasize.

Hi d32789: You left the final sentence up in the air. If you complete it would be easier to translate.

Thank you VERY much. The sentence was kind of a run on, and introduced an unrelated idea where I left off. Again, Thank you - d32789, Nov 16, 2009

Actually:

coexistían simultáneamente or even coexistían inter-relacionadamente

would sound better in Spanish than coexistían sincronizadamente.
