Hi everybody, I just saw this in another post:

What I do object to,most wholeheartedly is the term Guirri. This is extremely disrespective and I do not approve of the word.It is akin to the wordwog` and is extremely offensive to me.

Strikes me as weird. This is a word often used in Andalusia, not meant to be offensive most of the time...just indicating, this guy is a foreigner.

I mean, those guys call each other "pisha", sorry, can't get into that very deeply, jeje, but that is a very friendly term...so what can you expect? lol

Please look the word up here, but don't discuss it herewink

I've never heard the term, but most of the Spanish I've heard has been in the US from people who were either born in Mexico or had parents born in Mexico, and I'm not a foreigner here.

And in France, guys call each other "vieille pine"

Well... they're Spanish, what do you want?! (meaning... Spanish are tough in general).

I loved hearing little girls calling each other 'Macho" all the time... "Macho, qué va?" It simply cracks me up.
