How can you get television in spanish?

Question

Hi everyone! I am trying to immerse myself in spanish (listening to spanish podcasts and watching movies in spanish) to try to learn it better. Renting movies gets expensive pretty quick and I don't have much money. I am wondering if anyone knows a good website that you can actually watch television in spanish from. So far most that I find tell me that I can't watch it in this country since I am in the USA. I found one that was a sportscast, which is something that I wouldn't watch in english so I would much rather find something that would interest me. Pretty much any television shows with a story would be good, though I do like shows like Heroes and Fringe and anime. Any help would be greatly appreciated of websites that actually show this in the USA.

Also, thank you SpanishDict for the wonderful podcasts that I can watch anytime And thank you Paralee and everyone else for putting so much time into this website to make it what it is. This is a wonderful resource and I tell anyone who seems to be even slightly interested in learning Spanish about it. You are definately helping me learn better along with my college classes. If I am going to pay for college spanish, I am going to come out of it speaking fluently and you are helping me with that goal. Thank you again Spanishdict!

I see now that this question has been asked many times already, sorry, i should have searched before i asked it. - Ben-Kapity, Nov 12, 2009

Try this!. Search around. Telemundo from Puerto Rico is good, TNT en español from Mexico has great movies, and for news, I like CNN-Cuatro from Spain! Good Luck! Here is the link to all of the aforementioned places and more.

You should consider motivational speaking as a major. A true American capitalist! Biggest bang for the buck.

haha, thanks! - Ben-Kapity, Nov 12, 2009

That is one thing that I don't understand very much about many of the kids going to college nowadays. they seem to go just to get the degree and don't seem to care if they actually learn all about the things they are studying, if that makes sense. - Ben-Kapity, Nov 12, 2009
