Best way to say, "Go away/stop bothering me?"

Best way to say, "Go away/stop bothering me?"

I like to say ¡sácate! but from some reactions I've gotten, it may be rude. (I inadvertently hurt the feelings of a friend's child when I used using it, despite saying it in a playful way.)

Then, there are váyase, váyate, pare molestarme, salga...

Using any of them depends on the situation, of course. But I'd like to hear about the safest, most polite one.

Yes valponecito it is colloquial. From Cuba.

Arranca in this context means "take off" (leave) --- Arranca un carro means to start up a car.

..."por ahí" means somewhere (go somewhere)

Take off to somewhere and stop pestering me. --- is the literal translation.

Thanks. That really works well. I'm taking off! See you later... - 0057ed01, Nov 12, 2009

"Arranca por ahi y no fastidies mas"

Translation, please? The Translation feature makes the phrase incoherent.

Is this colloquial?

(But I did learn much about the very useful verb, fastidiar. Thanks for that.)

What's best when one receives an unwelcome "pass?"

volpon, it is better to post this in posts as the comments are not always seen.

Hmmm

I would say:

anda...vete por ahí-----polite

¡Lárgate! ----------strong

¡Vete a la mier--coles! (wink) ---------rudewink

There are many ways to say this, here's one:

¡Vete ya! ¡No me molestes más!

Oooops wait this is not polite --- I'll be back

Actually that is a very touchy situation. I’ve been in those situations myself when a kid is getting out of hand and the only way for me to handle that situation is to be polite and pay attention to the kid for a little while until he calms down or the parent intervenes. Usually your body language will let the parent know that the kid is pestering you.

If nothing seems to work “por favor” is the best word to start with followed by some sweetness.

“Po favor nenito, mira que estoy ocupado.” Or “Por favor mi amor…”

Thanks. But can you give us some idea of a scale of intensity? May be impossible, I know. Depends on the situation. I wouldn't, for example, use "¡Sácate!" in a bar. - 0057ed01, Nov 12, 2009

Hmmm, a polite form, well, sácate would not even be correct over herewink

Let me think..

Anda...déjame un poco.

Anda...¿por qué no me dejas un poco?
