Nacionalidad es una palabra feminina. En un formulário de imigración donde dice: Nacionalidad?, como un hombre, tengo que poner Británico o Británica?

The word for nationality is feminine. In an immigration form where it says Nationality? as a man, do I have to put the feminine or masculine form of nationality?

The adjective would be describing you; not the noun nationality (nationality isn't British; you are) - 0074b507, NOV 10, 2009
Thank you! Another mistake I have been making for years! - 00515f39, NOV 10, 2009

One thing about nationalitites... they are usually lowercased, not as in English, in which they are uppercased. The same happens with languages, as you say English and in Spanish it would be inglés, with lowercase.

Ella es China It will depend a lot in the name of the country. Example Mexico = Mexicano Puerto Rico = Puertoriqueño or Boricua Brasil = Brasileño Francia = Francés, etc...

Coincidentally, the nationality is the adjective :chino/china/chinos/chinas." Obviously, in this case it would be "china".

In the future, you can look up the answer yourself on this site; that way you don't have to wait for an answer. Just use the little dictionary link at the top of the page and click on "English to Spanish".

Happy learning!
