El enfermo tiene que pasar mucho tiempo en cama The italicized words need to be changed using synonyms, but the sentence still has to make sense. Thank You for your time and help! smile

You can say guardar reposo too, and that implies to stay in bed (or at least resting sitting.)

I would type each word into the dictionary and construct a sentence on your own. Post it here and the more experienced can critique your work. Synonyms are easy to find, at least they are not asking for antonyms! Welcome to the forum.

Can you even use the word "cama"? "Guardar cama" means to stay in bed. Rebertico's suggestion of "lecho" as a substitute for "cama" is a good one...maybe "guardar lecho??
