I think you will find this is misspelt. It should be coriander or cilantro.

You might find this interesting..

Coriander is not interchangable with cilantro, although they are from the same plant.

coriander

culantro

If I'm following this correctly cilantro is made from the leaves and coriander is made from the seeds of the same plant, even thought both words can refer to the plant/herb in general.

My answer was not clear, I meant coriander (English) and cilantro (Spanish). Now Moe has come up with some more imput! - 00515f39, Nov 9, 2009
In English, coriander is used as leaves, and the seeds are also used but are called "coriander seeds". - 00515f39, Nov 9, 2009
And to confuse things further, the name "cilantro" is also used in English (as well as coriander)!!! - 00515f39, Nov 9, 2009
latin america uses coreando as the dried powder from the ground seed or the whole seed 'entero', cilantro is used for the leaves - kcinchile, Nov 9, 2009
I think you have just answered the question that was asked. Coreando is the correct name for the spice powder. - 00515f39, Nov 9, 2009
Thanks so much for the answer! I'm going to try to recreate the adobo now! - craftych, Nov 10, 2009

I agree on the spelling error. But, I think the correct spelling is "coriandRo" and it is cilantro by a different name. See this Wikipedia article ----> http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coriandrum_sativum - Moe, Nov 9, 2009
Of the 3 Spanish spellings of Coreander (English), I have only ever heard the word cilantro used (in Colombia), maybe the other two names are used in the various different countries. Thanks for bringing this up. I just love learning new things. - 00515f39, Nov 9, 2009
I think it sounds like Coriander. - April-Sarah, Nov 9, 2009
