Another Way to Study Spanish
Has anybody here tried to "reverse engineer" their Spanish studies? By this, I mean go to the Aprender Ingles lessons and try to learn English as if you knew only Spanish? I found that the drills help reinforce the early Spanish vocabulary (I just finished 1.2, so I don't know how much different it's going to get).

Yes, I have mentioned this before in some posts from a few months ago. I have found doing the Apprender Ingles videos to be very helpful for me. It reinforces what I have learned in the Spanish videos, because everything is done in the reverse. There are also a few extra vocabulary words introduced in these videos.
I would highly recommend trying the English learning videos if you are someone who has completed the corresponding videos in Spanish. ![]()
Yes, I have. I intend to take all available lessons. I also intend to take all the Spanish lessons over until I get a perfect score on most all the exercises. However, my slow typing kills me on "recall".
Also an exercise I do everyday is I read a chapter in Proverbs everyday. While listening in English I read it in Spanish, then Listen in Spanish and read in English. I also do this with movie subtitles. I think exposure is one of the most important things in foriegn language study. Perhaps the most important thing. After all, that is how children learn their native language. One fun thing that happens is that sometimes I have to stop and think which language I am reading or listening to. At times it is like a flood of understanding of Spanish comes over me, then it goes away...I hope someday it will stay.
I think it will.
My son did this for fun, but it helped him with Spanish too.
Yes- I looked at one once, but it was really weird (and kind of entertaining) to hear your language spoken slowly and clearly!

I've done it a bit. I was doing it today, but I accidently clicked answers durring the video so I had to start over and was to lazy.
I have done this and still do now and then. However I find it only seems to work to a certain extent.
