Brandon, como te sientes al respecto?
I am trying to write a news cast about the future based on the book Fahrenheit 451. I know that in Spanish there is an upside down question mark at the beginning of the sentence. In another line that i wrote, "pero, ¿ tiene el gobierno el derecho de prohibir lectura? my teacher said to put the upside down question mark after pero. So, in the question " Brandon, como te sientes al respecto?" would the upside down question mark go before or after Brandon's name?

I would say after. To say Brandon first appears to just call his attention to expect a question.
I have always seen it after the name, but thank you for calling that to my attention. I forgot!! ![]()
I agree with Eddy. But if you read newspapers you'll find the other option as well, so if in what concerns this mistake you won't speak worse spanish than the one journalist speak.
