You need to try the red wines from the Rioja region.

Thank you! I am currently traveling thru Spain and have been having difficulty communicating this request for a beautiful old full bodied red wine by glass or bottle (I live near Napa,CA).

I think "vino tinto" will do, but you might wan to add "vino tinto oscuro" or "vino tinto fuerte". Oscuro is probably correct.
