Which is the best online translator?

When I have to translate a long piece of text, I often use an online translator and then make corrections to the stupid errors it comes up with.

Is there one translator that appears to be better than the others?

Hi Mortimerfran,

Enhorabuena! on becoming student of the week.

As to your question, this site offers three different translations. I know that many translators can be frustrating. There really aren't any perfect ones out there yet as far as I know. So back to this site, when you enter a phrase or sentence, it is translated by three different sources. Choose the one that comes closest to what you are trying to say. Occasionally, I have found that a combination of maybe two of the translations works best. Unfortunately, you really do need to know a little grammar in order to get the most benefit. Hopefully, the software will be perfected one day.

Thanks for your kind comment. What you say is what I thought. I was just hoping that somewhere there might have been an undiscovered gem of a translator that is still to be found by the general public. - 00515f39, Oct 31, 2009
