I'd have thought "galletas con trozos de chocolate" to distinguish between those that are essentially chocolate and those that have "pieces of chocolate" that contribute to the flavor. - samdie, Oct 28, 2009

Galletas de choco-chip (caseras)

I want mine "Homemade" so use the word "caseras" for sure!

Receta ( Galletas choco-chip )

Ingredientes para una persona:

1 barra de mantequilla (15 g.),

1 cucharada de vainilla,

1/2 taza de azúcar,

1 huevo batido,

1 taza de choco chips,

1 1/2 taza de harina,

1/2 cucharada de bicarbonato,

1 ó 1/4 de taza de nuez picada,

1/4 de taza de coco rallado (opcional).

Preparacion:

Batir el huevo con la vainilla y el azúcar. Poco a poco se le añade la harina cernida con el bicarbonato y un poquitín de sal. Cuando esté todo incorporado, se le agregan los choco chips, el coco y la nuez se sigue mezclando. Una vez mezclado se hacen bolitas y se ponen al horno por espacio de unos 10 ó 15 minutos a 250º.

Yes, it is problematical, because chocolate chip cookies don't seem to abound in Spanish speaking countries. I've seen them occasionally, but to communicate your idea you may need to try a couple of possibilities, both suggested above. If one doesn't work, try the other one! If words fail you, draw a picture! Some of the most sincere communication occurs when two people really try to understand each other! Que aproveches!
