momma con pepote

I have a friend in Costa Rica that had a picture of her mother with this caption under it "momma con pepote" momma was very pregnant. I can only find pepote as a keg. Is this a familiar way of refering to her mothers form while pregnant?

Hi Jim, probably it was referring to the name of a brother?
Pepote, pepe, José, or it might have been himself.
