Does anybody know the exact Spanish word for dowel ? These are not the same as plastic rawplugs for setting screw mounts on walls.

If you have ever assembled flatpack furniture, you would have come across these dowels :

Tarugo (lump of wood)

The next question will be what is a carpenter's biscuit in Spanish? It serves the same purpose in jointery as a dowel except that it is not peg shaped.
