Deuce [dius] sustantivo

  1. Dos en los juegos, como para decir, dos ases, el dos de espadas; dos puntos en dados; deuce, cuarenta iguales (in tennis).

  2. (Vul.) El demonio, el diantre, dianche. How the deuce! -> ¡cómo diablos The deuce take me if I have not forgotten it! ->

Good thing the put the (in tennis) in our dictionary. I kept seeing "cuarenta iguales" in other dictionaries and couldn't understand what it alluded to in sports. [40 all]

Babygirl106:

On second thought, I have just seen the word "Numbers" in your question. That made me think. There is another English word, "Deuce". "Deuce" generally means "two".

Here Is what some dictionaries have to say about "deuce".

¡Hola!, Babygirl106:

Did I understand your question? Do you think that "douce" is an English word?

If that is what you asked, I can report to you that it is NOT and English word. The closest English word to it is "Douche".

You will find Douche explained here in English.

I tried to find the Spanish equal for "douche". Look Here for our dictionary definition.

Recuerdos/Regards,
