I was recently in Spain and did not know how to ask for "bubble wrap" at the post office for packing. Is there a phrase for that? They also looked puzzled when I asked for a mailing tube. What is the term?

Wouldn't it be nice if the phrases were at least close as between Spanish and English. My big dictionary (Harper/Collins - 7th edition - 2003) states:

Bubble wrap = envoltorio de plástico con burbujas

I hope this is a help to you.

Hey Moe: I have Harper/Collins - 8th edition. I need a fork lift to pick it up -- but what a great dictionary! - Daniel, Oct 22, 2009

Actually we often say

papel de burbujas,

I know, makes no sense, it is not a paper material, but is used over here, also plástico de burbujas.
