For my Spanish paper, I want to say that "...countries continue to have food shortages...".

Is there a more appropriate verb given the context? As it stands, I've written "...países seguien tener una escasez de alimentos..."

I chose to go with seguir for no particular reason, perhaps someone can enlighten me...

Thanks! Next time I'll proof my question so I don't butcher my conjugations like I did with seguir. Ouch. - tsimkins13, Oct 21, 2009
