Has anybody read "La Muerta" by Carmen Laforet?

I'm reading this short story right now for my Spanish Literature class and I have to eventually write a paper about it. The theme I'm using is feminism or more specifically typical gender roles in Spain around the 1950's.

I was just wondering if anyone else on here has read it, and what you thought of it? Or if you can think of any other possible themes or things that I should incorporate into my analysis of it.

Thanks! smile

I have read other works by her...you idea would make a nice topic sentence for the paper. There are undertones of sexual identity all throughout her works. smile Are you enjoying it?
