What is the best beach?

I'm going to Montevideo, Uruguay this week. I was wondering if anyone knew of good beaches in that area that are not on the Rio del Plata. We want clean and clear water not that old brown stuff.

Look here.
Pretty much the best ones are from Punta del Este up to the Chuy. Piriápolis is not bad either. I've been in all of them. Near Montevideo you have Atlántida about 30 miles North but you don't get clear water on this one all the time.

The Dominican Republic has the BEST beaches ever, 8 o the beach meet the eco-something, for cleaness, white beaches, and no contaminations. Virgin waters, crystal clear!!!
