Qué significa "Pintón" ?

Que significa "pintón" ? Aquí en Bolivia me dijieron es "semi-ripe" pero no puedo encontrarlo en los diccionarios. Gracias.

Good morning Ian,
My big dictionary says:
pintón adj.
1) half-ripe, beginning to ripen (fruit)
agr. 2) a grub that destroys maize plants

Pintón(de pintar): bonito, saudável (corado). (fem: pintona - plural: pintones). No Brasil traduz-se como, "pintoso" (gíria).

HI Ian, I think I answered a question like this by you. I never heard the word pintón before.
It is listed though:
pintón, na. (De pintar).
- adj. Dicho de las uvas y otros frutos: Que van tomando color al > madurar.
