"periquear" - to flatter. Might the person have been indicating that you have the face of someone who flatters other people? .... Only you know the context of the comment, but the name "Perico" is fairly common for a parrot. Could there be some connection to a conversation you were having about tropical birds?

If you Google you will find that it is a tall chair like the one below or a baby's high chair or another definition is that it is a place (in Central America), not an object (all I noticed were cascadas so it may be a park or natural reserve.)
