I've been playing an online Spanish game of "hangman" (http://www.cicclapaz.com/hangman.html if anyone is interested) to increase vocabulary. I thought this was an answer but there was an error so you can disregard my question.

This may be completely without merit but in English"cabal" has the sense of a goup of people bound together for --sometimes--nefarious purposes.
