I am just kind of curious I was trying to change continúa into the preterite, but to do it normally it is two accents in a row so I don't know which one to put, if there is a trick to knowing I would love to know it

Continúo means i continue and the one with the accent on the O means he/she/you/it continued.

"Continúo" - present tense - I continue "Continuó" - preterite tense - he/she/you continued
