For instance....there are three words that I know that express "excuse me"....perdone....disculpe....con permiso. In what instances would each of these be appropriate.

Would these be a correct use of disculpe....to excuse oneself from a group, and if you were to do something rude, for example burp or something inappropriate - Corny, Oct 13, 2009

Well I use con permiso when someone is in my way, and I need to squeeze through.

I would use perdón if I bumped into someone.

I would say disculpe to get someones attention if I had a question.

I agree with Nikki, although I would also use disculpe if I had offended someone, but, if it was a request for forgiveness, I would say the phrase, "perdóname". Hope that's a little added help and clarity. grin

why not say "excusame" if you want to interupt two people in conversation or introduce yourself to someone. Why is "Perdon" used? and what is the difference is you just say perdon, or is it perdone, or perdona? Is it cultural? The meaning is to forgive.

I would use perdón if I had offended someone, but you can also use disculpe as well. A Spanish teacher said this about the two....

To answer your question, you can use perdón and disculpeinterchangeably for most "sorry's" and "excuse me's" that you run into.
