Context would be a great thing. Here are some other short's in case you were not referring to height.

To be short of breath - Estar sin aliento

To short change (somebody) - No darle el cambio completo

It's two kilogrammes short - Faltan dos kilos

To give short measure to somebody - Dar de menos a alguien

Gold is in short supply - Hay escasez de oro

Short of blowing it up - A menos que lo volemos

Pat is short for Patricia - Patricia se abrevia en Pat

To have a short temper - Ser de mal genio

To stop short - Pararse en seco

If you were referring to height, I have completely wasted my time . Sigh!

Man, Oh Man, you gotta do this for yourself. This is fun stuff and when you know how, you'll kick yourself for not trying it sooner. Look, do this:

Place you cursor on the word “short” (Where you typed it in the question box above).

”Double-Click” on the word “short”.

In the narrow blue window that opens, “single click” on the word “short”.

If you still have a question after you see "short" translated to Spanish for you, enter it into a “Reply” space below.

Once you know how to do this, there is no waiting in line so to speak to get an answer from our Span¡shD!ct web site and learning community.

Good luck and best regards.

Moe.

I agree with Moe. Let them do some of the work first! - --Mariana--, Oct 13, 2009
That is very cool. I never realized that you could do that before. ¡Gracias! - hlsbookworm, Oct 13, 2009

Do you mean short length or short height? Short length - "corto/a/os/as" "Tiene el pelo corto" (he has short hair.) "Dio un discurso corto." (He gave a short speech.) Short height: - "bajo/a/os/as" Es una chica sumamente baja" (She's an extremely short girl.)

corto(a) (physically)

bajo(a) (person)

chaparro(a) In Mexico we use that for a person if they are short. If they are really short, we say caparrito(a), which is shorty.
