Typically dictionaries provide information about verbs under a heading for the "bare infinitive". Thus for "rose" (as a verb) you need only to look up the entry for "rise". In this case, as in many, it can be either a noun or a verb; so ignore the discussion of its uses as a noun and concentrate on the definitions/equivalents given for the verb.

P..S. Having gone to that much trouble (to look up the verb), if you also take the trouble to read what is said about its use as another part of speech, more power to you. One of the pleasures of "browsing" dictionaries, is finding answers to questions that you haven't (yet) asked.

Be careful! This is a translation of the noun, not the verb "to rise." - kateelgrande, Oct 12, 2009

I am fond of the expression: no hay rosa sin espinas--- there's no rose without a thorn. Or an old George Jones song Rose colored glasses--- verlo todo de color de rosa--- to see everything through rose-tinted spectacles. smile

Apparently the original poster is interested in the verb not the noums. - samdie, Oct 12, 2009

Be careful of the translator. "To rise" is a verb with many translations in Spanish depending upon the context. Look up rise in the dictionary, find the appropriate spanish verb you need and then look that Spanish word up. Scroll down the page to the conjugations and you can find the appropriate form. "Rose" is the past tense in English and I'm guessing the tense you most likely need is the preterite. Pay attention to your subject. It rose. = Subió.
