Noun phrase modifiers in Spanish
As a young child, I was taught that nouns were modified by adjectives and verbs were modified by adverbs, The real story is more complicated. Nouns can be modified by five different types of phrases, called noun phrase modifiers.
1) noun phrase: I kicked the table leg.
2) adjectival phrase: I kicked the red ball.
3) prepositional phrase: I kicked the ball on the rug.
4) verb phrase: I kicked the rolling ball.
5) relative clauses: I kicked the ball that I found in the closet.
Do similar constructs for all of these exist in Spanish?
