This site does not provide a way to "add friends" like other social networking sites. But, as you make positive contributions on this forum, you will become friends with thousands of people!!!

I haven't used the option, but there is the Bookmark option. On this site I flag the question to follow it if there is someone with whom I want to continue to keep in touch.There is also the list of users you can search.
I may email someone privately and keep the record of that mail to track in the future.
If there is an option to make a list of "friends" on this site I have not come across it.
