when would you use infinatives in a sentence? would you use it if you had "yo quiero a comer(or Como)????
I can think of one place you'd use the infinitive in Spanish that you wouldn't in English. As a gerund.
English: Walking is fun.
Español: Caminar es divertido.
It's pretty much the same as the usage in English.
I want to eat.
Yo quiero comer.
You don't need the 'a' in that sentence because you are not referring to a person or animal.
If it were "Yo te quiero a tu", you would use it.
