They are = Están & Son

There are = Hay

For example

There are three dogs. = Hay tres perros.

The dogs are in the house. = Los perros están en el casa.

My dogs are very beuatiful = Mis perros son muy bonitos.

"Están" is used to describe things that are temporary

"Son" is used to describe more permanent things.

Also "Hay" can be "There are, Are there, There is, and Is there".

if you give more context i could give a better answer but...

those are really beautiful flowers esas son flores realmente hermosas

that is the most general translation. i can't think of anything else now but i might edit this later if i think of something.

Seeing that you've tried some flashcards and done some lessons first, I'll let you go on this one surprised "are" is basically the plural of "is" which is basically a conjugated form of "to be." To be in Spanish is "ser" and "estar." To get more information about conjugations and when to use each verb, check the lessons page.
