What do we say when someone sneezes?
In the U.S., we say "Bless you."
In Germany, they say "Gesundheit."
What is said when someone sneezed in a Spanish Speaking country?
I know, it's silly; but I'm curious.

In Central America, South America and Mexico, they use "Salud"
Salud, o Qué Dios te bengida.
Cold and flu season is here so I thought this might be a handy phrase!
Nathaniel replied, "Qué Dios te bengida" and the translation says "Dios te bengida"
I'm a bit confused. Reading the conjugation for bendecir I would have guessed the translation would have been "Dios te bengides". Can someone please explain? Thanks!
Not "Machoo Pichoo"?
In Mexico they say "Salud!" In Cuba we say "Jesùs!"
I´ve heard Jesús. This is not as a blasphemos remark. It is a popular boy´s name in Southern Spain.
I'm pretty sure it's Jesús when you sneeze and Salud when you toast
When I was a child, when we sneezed the teacher always said (in a rude way): "Don't use your shirtsleeve, use a hanky!" I told my Gran this and she clipped me round the ear. I think "Bless you" is much nicer.
All my Mexican friends along the boarder use "salud"
I have always heard ¡Salud!
When I was in Oaxaca, the teachers at my school said "Salud" when I sneezed. Perhaps this is something that varies from place to place?
