What are the basic irregular verbs in both the present and preterite

I am studying Spanish 2 and I am having the hardest time remembering which ones are irregular in either/both the past tense or the present. a simple list or maybe a jingle that would help me remember which ones conjugate in what tense and whether they change in all forms or just "yo"

If you look these words up individually in our electronic dictionary, scroll down to the bottom and you can find more verb conjugations than you can shake a stick at.
