i think it has something to do with tracing a needlepoint project. the phrase in Spanish is "dubetina con colores" .

Strange word, I was not familiar with this use.

Dubetina is a cloth similar to towel.

This is a houseshoe made of dubetina in Spain we use the word felpa.

It seems to be a type of fabric?

"la tela que quiero utilizar es dubetina en color blanco" is the phrase I found referring to this.
