Azucena hands him the cardboard box she had been carrying.

Manolo: ¿Hola mamá, hola Maricela y cómo están esta bonita tarde?

Manolo: Hello mamá, hello Maricela how are you this fine afternoon?

Maricela mira hacia su madre refiriéndose a la manera rara en que Manolo está comportándose.

Maricela looks over at her mother in reference to the giddy way in which Manolo is behaving.

La madre: Maricela, quiero que vengas conmigo al mercado.

Mother: Maricela, I want you to come with me to the market.

Maricela: Sí mamá. Bien, adiós hermano; adiós Azucena.

Maricela: Yes mamá. Well, goodbye brother; goodbye Azucena.

Azucena: Adiós, Maricela; nos vemos.

Azucena: Bye, Maricela; see you later.
