It means on time. You can use the dictionary or translator for simple phrases.

I agree with this answer. - --Mariana--, Sep 30, 2009
I do too. While all the other posters are correct about the various uses of tiempo, the phrase, "a tiempo" means "on time". - Goyo, Sep 30, 2009

Correct, tiempo can mean time, or weather or temperature in certain instances. "A timpo" means "on time" while "hace tiempo" means "the weather is"

A couple more shorties.

  • Es la hora para despertar. (It is time to wake up.)
  • He tocado el piano por un largo tiempo. (I have played the piano for a long time.)

  • No puedo contar las veces que escribí conjugaciones del verbos. (I can't count the times I wrote verb conjugations.)

See my previous post for time classifications.

The English word "time" has several Spanish words.

Es que la hora para escribir frases subjuntivo pretérito en éspanol varias veces, y que llevará tiempo.

(It is that time to write Imperfect Subjunctive sentences is Spanish several times, and it will take time.)

  • El tiempo = (time in general)

  • La hora = (time of day, on the clock)

  • la vez = (times of repetition, or occasion)

I would usually show you to the translation option at the top of the screen. However, this one is tricky.

Tiempo can either mean "time" or "weather". What is the context in which you find this term? Use that to figure out what you are discussing.
