You could have typed it into the 'Translator' (on the main menu) and got the answer immediately.

The te is the object pronoun and refers to who recieves the help (i.e. 'you'), and the verb is conjugated in the first person to indicate the subject ('I') or who is 'able' to do the helping. Can you tell from this that "You can help" would be incorrect? - Izanoni1, Sep 30, 2009
Could also be "Puedo ayudarte" (informal) or "Puedo Ayudarle" (formal) - ian-hill, Sep 30, 2009
I am just learning my DO/IO for spanish. Can you tell me why the formal would use the IO (le) and not the DO (lo)? This is greatly confusing me. GRACIAS! - latte62, Jun 23, 2012
