"It started to get dark" - Translation?
How can I translate "it started to get dark", meaning the wheather by night? I'm afraid I'll do something wrong so it's more like "it now was black" or something. Can anyone help'

there is a verb for the sky to get dark and it is oscurecerse. you can also use ponerse más oscuro.
"empezó a oscurecerse"
"se puso más oscuro"
"han empezado a hacer oscuro afuera" Is that correct? ("it started to become dark outside")
