To pitch a baseball

To pitch a baseball

You guys definitely need more sports terminology...

Como se dice,

an at-bat?

a baseball strike?

el lanzador tiro su primer "pitch"?

I guess more information is in order. The sentences I am trying to construct are,

The pitcher threw his first pitch which is, El lanzador tiro su primer...? Does lanzamiento make sense?

Golpe means to strike an individual. As in le di un golpe en la cara por su falta de respecto.

And I mean an at-bat not a baseball bat. Like, Chipper Jones struck out in his last at-bat

One dictionary I consulted says:

Strike:

(Baseball) = golpe

Pitch

(Baseball) (throw) = lanzamiento, tiro

Baseball Bat

bate de béisbol
