The short answer I will give you is that she says (roughly) I would love to see Florida, and be there with you. A big hug for you. I have to get my visa, and I need to hire a contractor to do it for me, and that takes money, which at this time, I do not have. Things right now are bad in Columbia. wink

I thought "contador" meant "accountant" ' can it also be used for "contractor" ? - ian-hill, SEP 27, 2009
Not trying to nit-pick, but Columbia is the univ. in Wisconsin, Colombia is the country. I only mention since my Colombian friends get ruffled about it sometimes. - arnold3, SEP 27, 2009
Check this out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbia Something to tell your friends. - 0074b507, SEP 27, 2009
It can be, but to know exactly what she means with that word, you'd have to ask someone who actually lives in Columbia. ;-) - ChamacoMalo, SEP 27, 2009
That was my point, like the wiki thing, "Not to be confused with Colombia, the country in South America." She did say "Colombia" and not "Columbia" - arnold3, SEP 27, 2009

claro que me encantaria encointrarme en florida,

Of course, it would delight me to meet you in Florida.

a encontrarme contigo,,un abrazote grande,,,tengo que sacar mi visa

for me to meet with you...a big hug...I have to get/present my Visa

presentarme en la embajada de usa,,,y para eso necesito pagar dinero

present myself at the US Embassy....and for that I need to pay money

y tambien sacar documentos con un contador

and also take out documents with an accountant

y en este momento yo no tengo dinero,,en colombia la siuacion esta muy mala...un

and right now I don't have any money, in Colombia the situation (economy) is very bad

date mucho

literally "give you[rself] a lot" (I don't recognized the farewell)

I won't, because it needs a bit too much art, and I'd prefer not to get flamed. Nikkis will, if she sees it. She's fine translator of letters, etc. wink

Ditto, her translations are always so "accurate" while still sounding natural. - arnold3, SEP 27, 2009
