I have to describe someone's hair, and I'm saying that "his hair is always spiked." i started my sentence with "su cabello siempre es..." but i can't find the word for spiked hair!

Thank you for your time!

How about "su cabello siempre tiene puntas?"

Punta

  1. Point, the sharp end of an instrument (extremo puntiagudo).
  2. Extremity of anything which terminates in an angle; top, head, summit; point, prong, nib, tip.
  3. Point, headland, promontory.
  4. Prong of an antler.

wouldn't it be "puntos" though since "su cabello" is masculine? - Aniram, Sep 27, 2009

IF you are asking about a mohawk hairstyle, here is an outside discussion with several guesses... it doesn't appear that anyone has complete confidence in their response, or rather, there are quite a few responses to choose from. what is "mohawk" in Spanish?

Perhaps I'm defining too rigidly your question though. Look forward to seeing more responses here.
