"if so then madrid is the place for you" could be "si es verdad, madrid es el lugar para tí" since "si" means "if" (it only means "yes" with an accent!) and "verdad" means true, so i guess "if it's true" can work for "if so" hope that helps! smile

Que si is the phrase before the question. Now, before someone says I claim Authority of The Whole Of the Spanish World, Written And Spoken, I'm only saying that's what is used Where I Live. What they use Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, I don't know. I don't live there. I live in Pennsylvania, around a bunch of Cubans, Puerto Ricans and Mexicans. That's the conditional phrase they use.

Quite a disclaimer. You're not a lawyer, are you? :-) - 0074b507, Sep 27, 2009
No, I was getting flamed (as usual) and that was just a pointed left handed response to someone! - ChamacoMalo, Sep 27, 2009
"Getting flamed," huh? Well I don't know about the rest of the world, but where I am from that means....... - Izanoni1, Sep 27, 2009
...only kidding - Izanoni1, Sep 27, 2009

Could we use, "si es verdad" ? That's what I would guess.

Si es verdad, que soy muy feliz! (or is it, "si es verdad, entonces soy muy feliz" ???)

You could say si es así

but I don't think that it would be necessary to use then in your Spanish translation if you use en ese caso.

Sorry I misread your your sentence at first...**en ese caso** would not fit here - Izanoni1, Sep 27, 2009
