Cuidense? Is this a misspelling?

In a letter I received from a Costa Rican friend, he said, "Cuidense y estaremos en contacto." But when I look up "cuidense" on www.spanishdict.com/translation, it doesn't come up with a translation. Should that word be spelled differently? What does that reflexive verb mean? Is there more than one translation?

Cuídense means "you all take care of yourselves" it is an Uds. command.

It would also be the informal command (vosotros) in Latin America. Cuidáos in Spain. - 0074b507, Apr 3, 2010
