Para yo o para mí

¿Cuando se usa una frase como "este manzana es para ??", se pone para yo o para mí? ¿Es diferente dependiente del situación? He aprendido de maestros lo que dice "para yo" y maestros lo que dice "para mí."

Spanish has a set of pronouns that are used after prepositions.

I see no usage for para as any other part of speech than as a preposition listed in the dictionary.

Therefore, after para the proper pronoun would be ; not yo. The fact that yo is mistakenly used probably results from the fact that all the pronouns used following prepositions are identical to the personal subject pronouns except for mí and ti.

I believe that the use of yo after para is just an oversight, forgetting that the mí, ti are "exceptions".

Para yo poder masticar necesito dientes.

Esta toalla es para mi uso personal.
