Okay,

You can use te amo with a boyfriend or girlfriend. With friends and family (or a partner you have been with a long time), you use te quiero.

You can also say "I am in love with you." Estoy enamorado/a de ti.

Hi Nikkis, send me a mail and tell me what you are up to. When did you go to Mexico? Did you post pictures to your page? Let me know!!!!

It depends on how much "love" you're directing at the person (the degree to which you love someone). Otherwise, there are various ways of saying things. For example, the two most popular ones would be "quiero" and "amo" there is also "adoro" (I believe that is the correct spelling, correct me if I'm wrong) which means to adore, while I do believe "encanto" is a lesser degree then "quiero" and "amo".

Hope this helped tongue wink

Yo te amo. This is an instance where in real life you would actually use the whole sentence to say it. It's very definate, and you'd want your love to know without a doubt what you mean. wink
