Editing Points

Question

Quentin mentioned that one needs 'Editing Points' to move messages where they belong. (In case they were place into the wrong category.) I went to 'Users' and to my settings and could not find a single point like that. That does not seem right, after two years of hanging around here, I should have at least one point even if by accident. I need a suggestion how to identify something like that.

You can edit when you have 2k reputation points, which you have. However, you only get 6 edits per day, which means you run out quick. Once you've run out you can't even edit your own posts.

Once you reach 4k you have unlimited edits.

You have 3.5 kilos, I wonder what the k stands for, I always call that kilos to myself.

well, you only need like on kilo to start editing. You get illimited editing functions with 4 kilos.

Look at any thread on the site, you should be able to see "edit" just beside "watch this question", click and you can get to edit the question.

help is very much appreciated so if you can sometimes change a question to the correct category, change the title etc, that would be very nice

I see 'link' and 'edit' but I never experimented with them. If I click on edit, and if someone else already doing the editing, will I know it, or the whole site goes up in a mushroom cloud?

You need 2,000 points of Reputation to edit posts. It looks like you have about 3,500 points, so you should be able to edit already.
