A google search indicates it would be a good idea to translate "hands-on" as "practical" or "interactive."

So hands-on training could be said: "formación práctico" or "formación interactivo." You could also, apparently, use instrucción for training, making it "instrucción práctico" or "instrucción interactivo."

For some reason, and I don't know why, I lean towards using práctico over interactivo.

Now, I'm not a native speaker, so I could be way off base about using práctico. I will, however, say that in general it is a good idea to try to convert English idioms and expressions (like hands-on) into non-idiomatic phrases before trying to translate them into Spanish...just my 2 cents.

These kinds of translations often don't translate well. I have found that it is just wise to not translate "expressions"...you get blank stares...or hard laughter. wink
