significado de "la cojo".

Question

In my previous question, I misspelled the word I needed a translation for. I was asking for a translation for "cojo" when used as "la cojo" at the ending of a conversation with a hotel clerk. The conversation seemed to be friendly.

This cojo means cool. The other one, coho, is quite different. This is something that I'm always harping about...the need for good listening skillls and understanding context. This one is something like Ok, te veo despues. Ok, cojo.

Are you sure it was "la cojo"? "cojo" means "lame" or "cripple". But, it could also be a verb: Cojo = present indicative of "coger", so "la cojo" means I take/hold it (it being a feminine noun).

Eso es cosa muy de contexto. It's like the word coger. It can be one thing...or it can be another. Depende mucho en contexto.

I'm glad you saw that the word was very different!! So is their an idiomatic expression with the word "cojo"? Just wondering.
