What does Chavas mean?

What does Chavas mean? Is it a popular term in Mexico? Like, would a lot of include that word in search engines when looking for things like girls, dating, etc?

Chava = girl (Central America & Mexico)

We have a similar term, chavala, in Spain. Hmmmm, would that be a term we use for googling a girl? Possible.

I don't know about Mexico, in Spain chavala is a young girl/woman.

But here the cubans use it to talk about the same five mexicans that are in the parque, drinking, playing domino, and trying to catch the attention of some american girl. I don't know what quality of girl they plan on getting...but hey...to each his own.
