"la ruta bakalao" or "bacalao"
What is "la ruta bakalao?" (or "bacalao"; I've seen it both ways. I figure it has something to do with partying, but I not sure what, exactly.

We call La ruta del bakalao/bacalao the place where you can hear bacalao music, placed in Valencia.
La llamada Ruta Destroy, Ruta del Bakalao como se le conoció más mediáticamente, heredera directa de la movida valenciana, consistió en el mayor movimiento "clubbing" de España, hecho por y para españoles fundamentalmente, e inició dicho movimiento "clubbing" en el país, tal cual lo conocemos hoy en día. De hecho, no se puede desligar la forma de ocio nocturno de los españoles de hoy de lo que se heredó de este movimiento.
